E-BikeKitTM Electric Bike Kit ($399)
The E-Bike Kit Conversion is one of the
most
flexible, high quality electric bike kits on the market.
At 36V, it's Nine Continents (9C) direct-drive motor
is designed to meet federal regulations and no
license or insurance is required in most states.
Install on any 20", 26", or 700c bike and choose
from low cost SLA batteries, a high quality LiFePo4
battery, or wire your own. Run at 36V or 48V*
This kit is designed for use with the e-BikeKit LiFePo4 battery pack, but we also offer cheaper / heavier SLA batteries. Or, purchase a wiring kit to use your own SLA batteries and receive: jumpers, fuse holder, 40A fuse, 50A Anderson and terminal connectors.
Each E-Bike Kit Includes:
- 1 x 500W Direct-Drive (Gearless) Hub Motor (750w/1000w output)
- 1 x Double Walled Rim w/ 13 Guage Spokes
- 1 x 36V 22 Amp Intelligent Motor Controller (capable of 36V or 48V*)

Wired with high quality 30 Amp Anderson Powerpole Connectors
REAR WHEELS can accomodate disc brakes and a 6-speed freewheel. If your bike has a 7-speed freewheel, the derailer can be adjusted. A 6-speed freewheel is included with all rear wheel kits. Contact us for single speed or 5-speed freewheel.
* This kit is designed for use with a 36V battery,
but it's capable of running
at 48V. Although this will provide higher top speeds (between 24-27 mph), it will exceed Federal Laws and your bike may become classified as a 'motor vehicle'. At 36V this kit falls within the power and speed limitations established by the U.S. Federal Electric Bike Law, and in most states, no license or insurance is required. For front hub kits, be sure you have a very strong fork made of steel. This motor has the potential to rip from the dropouts of an aluminum fork.
