The X-Treme XB-502 is an electric bicycle - not a moped - and replaces the popular XB-500. It includes a 500 watt brushless rear hub motor powered by four 12V SLA batteries that can be re-charged more than 500 times. The XB-502 will travel 20 - 25 miles per charge and also includes removable pedals. Classified as a electric bicycle, the XB-502 is limted to a top speed of 20 mph, so there's no need for a drivers license, registration or insurance in most states. You can operate it anywhere bikes are allowed to be riden and must follow all applicable bicycle laws.
