The X-Treme XB-508 Sport is an electric bicycle - not a moped. It comes with a large 550 watt brushless rear hub motor that is powered by four 12 volt SLA batteries that can be re-charged more than 500 times. The difference between the XB-508 & the XB-500 is the sport styling, the dual headlights and the larger 550 watt motor. The XB-508 is classified as a power assisted bicycle and is legal for anyone to ride. It's limted to a top speed of 20 mph, so there's no need for a drivers license, registration or insurance. You can ride this product anywhere bicycles can be riden.
