The X-Treme XB-700Li is an electric bicycle - not a moped. It has a 700 watt rear hub motor similar to other scooters, but instead of lead acid (SLA) batteries the 700Li uses 26 lightweight Lithium Ion (LiMn04) batteries that can last up to 7 to 10 years! In addition, the X-Treme XB-700Li is capable of traveling extensively further - up to 25 - 35 miles per charge. Limited to a top speed of 20 mph w/ removable pedals, there's no need for a drivers license, registration or insurance with this product. And if you follow all applicable bike laws, you can ride it anywhere bicycles are riden.
