I have a 24V BMX electric scooter. It started to run slow, so I had batteries checked and have replaced both batteries. It seemed to be running good and I took it on a short run around the block. I went to take a spin on Saturday and got aprox. 1 mile aways and the power went from 22 MPH to 12 MPH and the voltage dropped rapidly. Needless to say, I had to push it back home. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Not familiar with this scooter, but what you're describing sounds like a battery issue. You say you replaced the batteries? How long ago? SLA batteries usually only last 1-2 years...

Have you recharged the batteries since this situation occurred? Did the same thing happen? Did it start off strong -- then die? Or did it stay weak and not perform correctly at all?
