Our EG Enterprise Review:

The EG Enterprise is an affordable electric mountain bike with a wide variety of features and high-end components. Similar to other EG's, this lightweight electric bicycle includes a removable Li-Ion battery and several power assist options. With 21-speeds, heavy duty aluminum frame, knobby mountain bike tires and front disc brakes, this bike is well-suited for trails, paths and a wide range of conditions.

The EG Enterprise is powered by a 24V/10AH Li-Ion battery pack mounted below the seat. At just 7lbs (54lbs total), it will last 2-3 times longer than the heavier sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries on some models and can easily be locked in place or quickly removed for storage or charging. Rated at up to 35 miles per charge in "economy" mode, the Enterprise has an excellent range that many riders can achieve under ideal conditions. But for most riders who will operate in "standard" mode or plan on using the throttle, 15-25 miles is more likely.

The EG Enterprise includes and quiet and efficient brushless geared hub motor
on the rear wheel. Not as powerful as some e-bike models at just 200 watts, it's ideal on flat terrain or for people just looking for a little assistance. Choose from two pedal assist settings, Economy (E) or Standard (S), by flipping the switch on the handlebar control. Economy mode provides a small amount of power and is barely noticeable while you ride, but helps extend your range. In standard mode, the power is much more obvious and the motor does most of the work while you pedal. At any time you can use the throttle, but it's slightly underwhelming from a dead stop. The throttle works best once you start riding and is a nice way to keep your momentum or to quit pedaling when you're tired.

Opinions & Recommendations:

Surprisingly affordable, the EG Enterprise is ideal for riders who enjoy pedaling and expect to provide assistance. Although it lacks the higher power and torque of some models, it's very lightweight and efficient with exceptional range. On
flat terrain, this bike works great and riding is a breeze. But on large hills or inclines - expect to do some work. Although it can be effective for commuting, the Enterprise's knobby tires aren't that efficient on the street, and the battery makes it difficult to install a rear rack. But if you switch the tires - or your commute includes dirt roads or paths, the Enterprise might be a good solution.
