Our EG Le Mans Review:

The EG Le Mans is a top-of-the-line electric bicycle loaded with features. Similar to the EG Milan, this hybrid-style bicycle includes a powerful 350W hub motor, 36V Li-Ion battery, thumb throttle, 3-setting pedal-assist, 21-speeds, fenders and more. Although the Le Mans lacks front suspension, it's lightweight and fast (4lbs less than the Milan) and is ideal for
city riding and commuting over paved surfaces.

Powered by a long-lasting 36V/10AH Li-Ion battery mounted on the rear rack,
the EG Le Mans is very smooth and easy to operate. When compared to our 24V setups, the 36V battery adds some extra weight (11lbs - 54lbs total), but it also provides increased torque and higher top speeds. Securely lock the battery in place, or easily remove it for storage or charging. Rated at up to 35 miles per charge in the "Low" PAS setting, the EG Le Mans is capable of an excellent range (under ideal conditions). For riders who operate in "Medium", "High" or by using the thumb throttle, 15-25 miles is more likely under normal conditions.

With a high quality 350W geared (Bafang / 8FUN) hub motor built into the rear wheel, the EG Le Mans has lots of torque and takeoff ability. Great for hills, pulling loads or carrying heavier riders, press the thumb throttle to avoid pedaling altogether or choose from three pedal assist settings (Low - Medium - High) on the lighted handlebar controls. The low PAS setting provides the least amount of power, but is still very noticable as you ride. In the medium setting, the power is much more obvious and the motor does most of the work while you pedal. And in high, the bike effortlessly jets forward as you turn the crank. Unlike some PAS systems, the high-speed gearing allows you to keep up with the motor even in the highest setting, making it a very fast and easy to pedal along.

Opinions & Recommendations:

The EG Le Mans is an excellent bike for commuting, especially over paved surfaces. It can handle light off-road conditions, but it's lack of front suspension and smooth all-terrain tires make it most effective on the street. It has lots of power, 21-speeds, 36V Li-Ion battery and various modes of operation (throttle or PAS) making this bike fast and easy to operate. It's unisex design includes a low center bar and adjustable high-rise handlebars for comfortable riding, but the frame-size is a little too small for someone over 6' tall. We proudly recommend the EG Le Mans to any customers looking for a commuter bike because of it's power, quality and speed! Our only complaint is, it could definitely use a nicer seat. And front suspension might be nice too if weight wasn't an issue. Luckily, front suspension (or suspension seat post) can be easily be added if required.
